At Cair, we no longer believe in the one-size-fits-all shampoo. Your hair goes through summers, winters, hormonal changes and hundreds of washes. Its needs keep changing. The Universal Shampoo covers the essentials: a wash that respects the natural balance of the hair fiber, wash after wash.

Designed for all hair types, this shampoo cleanses gently, hydrates* and strengthens the fiber, then reveals a "Fresh Hair" finish: light, soft and luminous. Hair full of vitality, never weighed down.

A clean formula, no compromise

Super-concentrated with 40% active waters from rice, organic grape, bamboo and fermented raspberry, it hydrates, soothes and nourishes the hair. Amino acids bring lightness and shine, hyaluronic acid locks moisture into the fiber, and plant proteins, a natural alternative to keratin, strengthen the hair against environmental stressors.

92% natural origin. Free from sulfates, silicones, harsh stripping agents and artificial coating ingredients, it respects the scalp, even sensitive ones, and leaves no suffocating residue behind.

An acidic pH of 4.5 for shinier hair

Dry or damaged hair becomes alkaline and its cuticles lift. Our acidic formula closes and smooths them: light reflects better, and hair feels softer and shinier.

How to use

How do you use the Universal Shampoo?
Detangle your hair, then brush it thoroughly to prepare it for the treatment.
First, thoroughly wet your hair with lukewarm water so the formula can reach every strand.
Put some shampoo in your palm and gently work it into a lather.
Gently massage the sides of your head, then the back and top of your scalp. And we do mean massage, not rub. Add a little water to build up a good lather.
Rinse thoroughly with clear water under a strong stream. Depending on the haircare products you usually use, your hair may feel a little more squeaky towards the end of the rinse — AND THAT IS A GOOD SIGN!
After shampooing, we recommend applying the detangling hair mist to complete your haircare routine.
Designed to complement the shampoo, this mist works as a leave-in detangling treatment in place of a traditional conditioner.

Its formula, rich in active waters with a strong affinity for hair, detangles thoroughly, naturally coats each strand and restores volume and lightness.

Key ingredients

Our range takes a different approach from traditional haircare: no silicones, no sulphates, no ingredients that artificially coat the hair and no harsh cleansing ingredients.

40% rice water, organic grape water, bamboo water and fermented raspberry water: hydrates*, soothes, nourishes and gives hair strength and vitality.
Amino acids: give hair lightness and shine.
Hyaluronic acid: helps retain water in the hair fibre and prevent dehydration.
Plant proteins: alternatives to keratin that penetrate deeply into the hair fibre, helping to reduce damage from external stressors and provide lasting strength.

The pH of hair is around 5–5.5. The drier and more damaged hair is, the more negatively charged and therefore alkaline it becomes.
The more positively charged hair is, the more acidic it is, with greater shine and well-aligned cuticles.
Our shampoo has a pH of 4.5 (acidic), which helps bring hair towards a neutral state, promoting shine and softness.
The mask’s slightly alkaline pH (6.5) helps lift the cuticles so the active ingredients can reach the cortex more easily.

"Have two of the hairbrushes so thought I would try the haircare products too and I have to say they are amazing! "Üblicherweise musste ich meine Haare jeden Tag waschen weil sie so schnell gefettet haben. Zudem musste immer ein Conditioner drauf sonst war Kämmen kaum möglich. Mit dem Shampoo von La bonne Brosse sind die Haare auch ohne Spülung ganz weich und angenehm zu stylen. Die Bürste trägt entsprechend dazu bei, sanft beim Entwirren und wirklich effektiv bei der Pflege des trockenen Haares. Ich mag beides nicht mehr missen!"
