Produced in France by the last remaining French acetate manufacturer, our cellulose acetate is an organic resin made of cotton flowers and wood beads, chosen for its hypoallergenic properties, resistance, aesthetic potential and modern look.
This sustainable and responsible material is biodegradable and is not derived from petrochemicals. This combination of innovative materials and age-old know-how is the perfect mirror of the La Bonne Brosse philosophy.
Imported from South-East Asia, our fibres are natural, lightweight and dense, allowing for an exceptionally refined brushing experience.
Made from 100% keratin (just like your hair!), the bristles of our boar hair brushes are hypoallergenic, resilient and help prevent static electricity.
Because boar bristles have unique hair-care properties with no satisfactory vegan equivalent, we took particular care to verify their origin and the conditions in which they are sourced. We were diligent in tracing the boar bristles used in La Bonne Brosse, ensuring they come from a process that remains largely artisanal rather than industrial. We also paid special attention to the selection of these bristles, using only the "first cut" — that is, the root of the boar bristle — which is richest in keratin and delivers an unrivalled styling result.
Our nylon fibers are among the finest on the market. Made in Europe, their flexibility, thickness and softness have been carefully studied to deliver an experience that combines stimulating massage with a gentle brush. Unlike many vegan alternatives, these fine fibers guarantee ultra-comfortable detangling without breakage.
Our artisans lay a micro bead of epoxy on each nylon fiber by hand as a final touch (which is why the beads may appear irregular when viewed up close). This renders the scalp massage even more pleasant and effective.
The comfort and quality of hair brushing are intrinsically linked to the softness and bounce (known as "shore") of the rubber into which the bristles of the hair brush are inserted.
We have chosen the softest shore quality to provide the perfect bounce, brushing without breakage and enhanced comfort. You will also notice that our brushes perfectly follow the curves of the head and neck.
