Having oily roots and dry ends is extremely common, especially if you have medium to long hair. Discover our 3 step routine to tackle the problem once and for all.
Step 1: Purify Your Scalp
Purifying your scalp is an essential step in controlling oily roots.
Before shampooing, apply Cair Strengthening Serum. Powered by the Prebiome Complex, this treatment acts as a true scalp reset, deeply detoxifying the scalp while helping to rebalance its microbiome.
How often you use it depends on your scalp’s needs. If your scalp is particularly unbalanced, apply this detoxifying treatment before every shampoo. Leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing. Be careful not to use too much product: 6 to 7 pumps are enough. Then massage gently to distribute the treatment evenly across the entire scalp. For an intensive treatment, you can also leave it on overnight.
If your scalp is only mildly unbalanced, or if you are already seeing improvements, use the Strengthening Serum once a week. This will help maintain the microbial balance of your scalp ecosystem.
Step 2: Use a Gentle Natural Shampoo
When it comes to removing excess sebum, nothing beats a good shampoo. However, a few rules should be followed.
Ironically, washing your hair too often can stimulate even more sebum production. Try to space out your shampoos as much as possible.
In addition, harsh shampoos containing sulfates can irritate the scalp and trigger excess oil production. This is why using a gentle, naturally derived shampoo is recommended.
Cair Hyaluronic Acid Shampoo is sulfate free, silicone free, and made with 92% naturally derived ingredients. It gently cleanses the hair without stripping or irritating it and leaves no residue behind.
Enriched with hyaluronic acid and rice water, it delivers an intense boost of hydration to your hair.
Tip: To avoid damaging the hair fibre while shampooing, gently massage the sides, back, and top of your scalp without rubbing aggressively.
Step 3: Hydrate Your Lengths
Dry ends are very common and can result from several factors.
First, the longer your hair, the harder it is for natural scalp oils to travel all the way down the hair shaft, leaving the ends deprived of moisture.
The use of heated styling tools can also contribute to dehydration. Heat causes the water naturally present in the hair fibre to evaporate, leading to dryness. That is why it is essential to protect your hair with a heat protectant before styling.

To care for your lengths, discover Cair Protective Mist. Formulated with active rice water, organic grape water, raspberry water, and bamboo water, it hydrates and strengthens the hair.
It also creates a lightweight, non occlusive protective veil around the hair to shield it from external aggressors such as pollution, UV rays, and heat.
This mist also improves manageability by making detangling easier.
The result: hair that feels soft, hydrated, and protected.
